The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) released an official notification for the recruitment of 102 Specialist posts, including Teacher Educator, Physical Education Instructor, and Art Education Instructor. Candidates with qualifications like B.Ed, Post-Graduation, M.Ed, M.P.Ed, and B.El.Ed are eligible to apply online.

The online application process begins on 12th January 2026 and concludes on 11th February 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Teacher Educator in Foundation Course

• Essential: Post-Graduation Degree in Education/Philosophy/Sociology/Psychology with minimum 50% marks and B.El.Ed or B.Ed. or D.El.Ed with 50% marks. OR M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Education.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years (as on 01-01-2025)

Eligibility for Teacher Educator in Science

• Essential: Post-Graduate Degree in Science (Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology/Mathematics/Geography/Geology) with Minimum 50% marks and M.Ed. with Minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Eligibility for Teacher Educator in History

• Essential: M.A. in History with minimum 50% marks and M.Ed. with Minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Eligibility for Teacher Educator in Geography

• Essential: M.A. in Geography with Minimum 50% marks and M.Ed. with minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Eligibility for Teacher Educator in Economics

• Essential: M.A. in Economics with minimum 50% marks and M.Ed. with minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Eligibility for Teacher Educator in Political Science

• Essential: M.A. in Political Science with Minimum 50% marks and M.Ed. with minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Eligibility for Teacher Educator in Mathematics

• Essential: M.A. or M.Sc. in Mathematics with minimum 50% marks and M.Ed. with minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Eligibility for Teacher Educator in Odia

• Essential: M.A. in Odia with minimum 50% marks and M.Ed. with minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Eligibility for Teacher Educator in English

• Essential: M.A. in English with minimum 50% marks and M.Ed. with minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Eligibility for Physical Education Instructor

• Essential: Master Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) with minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Eligibility for Art Education Instructor

• Essential: Master Degree in Fine Arts (Visual Arts with minimum 50% marks) or Master Degree in Performing Arts (Music/Dance/Theatre) with minimum 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 21 to 42 years

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on the following stages:

• Stage – I: Preliminary Examination (150 marks)
• Stage – II: Main Written Examination (Technical paper(s) – 200 Marks)
• Stage – III: Certificate Verification

Application Fee

Candidates other than SC, ST, and PwD categories shall deposit an examination fee of ₹ 500/- through the online Odisha Treasury portal. SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempted from the fee.
