Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification & Experience

• Qualification: Discipline-specific as per “Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022”. Candidates must possess MD/MS/DNB in the relevant discipline, or DM/M.Ch for super-specialties. Alternatives with special training may apply for certain disciplines.
• Experience: Generally requires 11-14 years of teaching and research experience (as per AIIMS norms) depending on the duration of the degree. Candidates must have completed the NMC recognized basic course in Medical Education Technology and basic course in Biomedical Research.
• Publications: A minimum of 10 publications in specified indexing agencies (e.g., Medline, PubMed) is required.

Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit: 50 years (as on 01 January 2025).
• Age Relaxation: For in-service permanent employees of JKPSC, age is calculated as per Government Order No.9-JKPSC of 2013 dated 08 March 2013.

Selection Process

The selection shall be made in terms of criteria laid down in Rule 44(iv)(a) of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021 as amended up to date.
