Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Research Staff, Research Assistant, Illustrator / Designer, and Deaf Teacher on a contractual basis. Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise)
Eligibility for Research Staff
- Essential Qualification: B.Ed Special Education OR B.Ed OR MA in Education OR MA in Linguistics.
- Experience: 02 years’ experience in the field of deaf education / ISL / early education.
- Skills: Indian Sign Language skill, Computer skills (MS Word, PPT, Excel), English language proficiency.
- Desirable: B.Ed Special Education (HI) qualification.
Eligibility for Research Assistant
- Essential Qualification: D.Ed Special Education (HI) OR DISLI OR DTISL OR ISL C Level or Diploma in an RCI approved early childhood care / early education course.
- Experience: 1 year experience in the field of deaf education / ISL (Desirable).
- Skills: ISL skill, RCI CRR number, Computer skills (MS Word, PPT, Excel).
Eligibility for Illustrator / Designer
- Essential Qualification: 12th Pass + Graduation / Diploma / Certificate in illustration / graphic designing / fine art / animation / desktop publishing.
- Experience: Work experience in graphic designing / illustration (Desirable).
- Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative cloud suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW), Indian Sign Language skills.
Eligibility for Teacher(Deaf)
- Essential Qualification: Graduate in any discipline + Proficiency in Indian Sign Language (ISL) + Qualified ISL ‘C’ Level or DTISL.
- Experience: 03 Years experience of working as a teacher.
- Skills: Knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
- Desirable: RCI registration, Teaching experience in various settings.
Age Limit
- Research Staff / Research Assistant / Illustrator / Designer: Maximum 56 Years.
- Deaf Teacher: Maximum 40 Years.
- Cut-off date for age calculation is 05 January 2026 (Date of Interview).
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Walk-in-Interview. Candidates are required to report at 10:00 AM on 05th January 2026 at the venue with the following documents:

- Self-attested photocopies of age, qualification, and experience certificates.
- Original certificates for verification.
